Gabe #1 Reviewed at SequentialTart.com

Sequential Tart is a webzine devoted to comics and culture. They review comics (print and web), movies, music, books, etc. Maureen Landers has written a review of Gabe #1 for the March issue.

It’s a very positive review of this creator’s first effort. You can click the link below to read the full review, but here are a couple of quotes:

I like Gabe; he’s witty and sardonic, he’s matter of fact in the way we wish everyone would be. I also like Silas; he’s the perfect foil to Gabe; he’s the slightly off guy that will be your friend forever and do anything to help you.

The art is simple and understated, with clean lines and a bright color pallete, it reminds me of Scott Kurtz’ PVP but with color.

I’m a big fan of PVP, and I can’t think of a more flattering comparison for my artwork. Overall she gave the book a 7 out of 10, which based on my high school experience sounds about right.

Many thanks to Maureen for the kind write-up, and to Shane Bertou for alerting her to our existence.
