Hollywood Hot Sheet

Good morning, my little focus group! Time for the latest Tinsel Town buzz!

Looks like several films will be released this fall season, including many starring famous actors! Sign this reporter up! I don’t know about you, but I think anytime you get Hollywood Stars together and make a movie, the results are magical!

Being a member of the entertainment press, I am privy to much inside information. For example, I recently attended a screening with featured numerous three minute previews for upcoming releases! In the industry, these are called “trailers,” which makes no sense because they are shownbefore a movie, not after! Well, until they get that sorted out, hows about a little dish on what I saw in these exclusive trailers?

Denzel Washington stars in Out of Time, a thriller made by Mr. Alfred Hitchcock! I’m glad to see him working again. It will do good for his ailing health. The pic is full to the brim with exciting camera work and lines of dialogue. All in all, it looks like a return to the classic Hollywoodmasterpiece.

Grab your chopsticks! Tom Cruise goes Chinese in the Last Samurai! This actioner features our favorite Mission: Impossible star as he fights to take out the bad guys! Tom Cruise is so dedicated to his craft that he actuallydated an Asian girl in preparation for this role.

And, speaking of romance, let’s turn our camera toward the Hollywood Relationship Roster!

Sarah Jessica and Matthew are still happily married, sorry fellas! Seems the latest thing they like to do is walking with their child through their New York neighborhood. Don’t you guys get enough attention?

Big scoop! Apparently Jennifer Lopez and School Ties hunk Ben Affleckhave been spotted together once or twice! We’ll see where this goes… Imagine the possibilities!

And, lastly, good news for DVD fans! In November Criterion will be releasingVittorio de Sica‘s 1952 classic Umberto D. in a new retrospective special edition! This will make a perfect companion for Friends: the Complete Fifth Season, coming out the same month. What a great time to be alive!

That’s it for this installment of the Hollywood Hot Sheet! See you next time, and until then: keep looking to the stars!
